Description

“Two Friends”

Don’t walk in front of me… I may not follow
Don’t walk behind me… I may not lead
Walk beside me… just be my friend

― Albert Camus

On our recent hike at the Waterloo State Recreation area, these two trees – a Maple and a Beech – grew together side by side in one of the park’s more mature forest tracts.  Love seeing the contrast between the two completely different species… One with a more craggy and textured trunk, and the other with a smoother bark.

Despite the differences in appearance, these two trees grew together, and are now two of the older trees in this grove.  Stately caretakers of the land they inhabit and hold together with their deep & strong roots.

We could learn much from trees.

We hope you enjoy this moment of peace and respite as much as we did in making it!

Available in all of our popular formats! And, of course, custom options available upon request.
