Description
“Through the Fog”
This photo is actually a rare collaboration between Jess and I.
As I often do at portrait sessions at beautiful locations… I’ll opportunistically take random photos of the scenery. Jess typically edits the portrait sessions, so in this case she edited this photo before I even thought of downloading the picture to my drive.
I loved how she saw it, so I saw no need to do it on my own.
This day was a beautiful autumn morning. A rare occurrence of Jess and I getting out of the house for sunrise. We must give a grateful nod to our couple who wanted to have a sunrise session – we agreed and had a simply wonderful time together beside Grousehaven Lake and along the dew-kissed trails at the Rifle River Recreation Area in Lupton (kinda like a Michigan State Park but, oftentimes more rustic).
The Rifle River Recreation Area is more developed than a lot of the rec areas along the east coast, especially along this beach area. But, definitely still more “wild” than some of the parks down in the Metro areas.
Some thoughts…
Our walk through life with God is often like these foggy moments. Sometimes, the light will be obscured but, if we keep looking to Him long enough, the light always burns away the fog and breaks through in the end.
Isaiah says it perfectly:
(Isaiah 58:8) “¶ Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.”
We hope you love this scene as much as we do.
