“Spring Thaw Reflections – Negwegon“
I’d like to ask everyone to stop, take rest, and enjoy a moment of peace. Know this: All of this creation is God’s and we, like creation, are in His care. Every moment belongs to Him. Every beautiful location is a glorification of His perfection. The majesty and splendor of our Earth is but a small sample of our ultimate goal. It is easy to feel lost among the ruckus of this journey known as life. It is much easier to find our way, if we keep our eyes affixed to Jesus.
One thing is always clear… Regardless of the machinations of humankind, the seasons of this Earth march right along. As I sit and write this, the past brutal and dreary winter is beginning to give way to the new life of spring, as it has since the dawn of creation. The time is now for God’s people to leave their homes, immerse in the world around us, and be a light to the Earth in the very same was that the springtime’s warmth washes away all of the icy remnants of a lifeless winter.
This photo was taken in spring back in 2021. The newness of our new home in Alcona County was still very fresh and Jessica and I were only just beginning to explore our new stomping grounds. The beauty we are surrounded by is endless and as long as I have breath, I will use it to glorify the creation of our Almighty God.
(Song Of Solomon 2:11-13) “For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; {12} The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the dove is heard in our land; {13} The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.
