This is the favorite “snapshot” of a waterfall I’ve taken. Typically, it is my favorite style to take long exposures of flowing water to smooth it out and give it a more ethereal appearance. On this day, that was Jess’ job, and I simply love what she capture here. But, I wanted to go for the “frozen in time” look for a change of pace and, this was the result.
All that being said… I simply love waterfalls! The excitement of seeing one of our favorite subjects simply surrounded by the color of autumn – on a vibrant crisp sunny fall day – made this one of the most memorable “hunting” experiences we’ve ever had! If you know us at all, you’ll know that our luck tends to be “cloudy” when we’re out searching for scenes to capture. So we always get excited when we are looking at bright blue partly-cloudy skies.
