And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Think about the most amazing scene on the earth or, the most amazing and luxurious creations of mankind. Nothing here comes close to the glory of God and the light of the Lamb.
This certainly puts the amazing Love of Jesus into perspective, doesn’t it? Just to think, he would strip Himself of ALL of His inherent glory and become a lowly human. Then He would willingly suffer to shed the most perfect and valuable blood to cover the otherwise irredeemable sin that permeates all of mankind.
His blood covers our sin so that our name can be written in the book of life.
This is the amazing Love of Jesus.
