Description
After a beautiful afternoon hiking through the “white & blue” loop trails in Bald Mountain’s North Unit (approximately 4 miles in total), Jess and I were blessed with a rather beautiful sunset as we made our way back to our car.
These trails were surprisingly awesome for us! As avid hikers, we were not really expecting the deep nature that we beheld here, being so close to Metro Detroit. However, the loop we hiked took us through mildly hilly terrain that had us viewing picturesque small lakes, ponds, and wetlands in the valley areas. But, the scene of the day was right here, at Heart Lake.
