Happy Birthday Michigan!

To celebrate Michigan’s birthday, we would like to share a “snapshot” of our past year’s adventures throughout our beautiful and diverse state.  Since Michigan’s birthday last year, Jess, myself, and our adventure puppies were blessed to be able to enjoy much of Michigan’s beauty.  Visiting everywhere from Detroit (where we live), all the way to the far reaches of Upper Michigan and the Porcupine Mountains.

To anyone who has visited the beautiful area surrounding Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore… You already know just how incredibly scenic this area of our Upper Peninsula is. Jess and I have been heading up to (or through) the area several times now. Honestly, we can never get enough of the beauty of these Munising Waterfalls. Our Favorite Michigan Spots – The Porcupine Mountains

If you know us personally, then you will not be surprised to know that the Porcupine Mountains State Park is our absolute favorite spot in Michigan.  So much so, that we have visited (multiple times) to date. It offers a bit of everything that we love. Deep peacefulness, wilderness, magical virgin forests, rivers, waterfalls, and grand vistas.  There is something for any nature lover in the Porkies.  If you are looking for a new place to visit in Michigan, and love being deeply immersed in nature, you’ll want to read on about our Porcupine Mountains experiences!
